Some patterns belong to more than one field.

For more than four decades, I have explored markets, leadership, navigation, education, business, and the structures of human perception.

The subjects may appear unrelated.

The patterns beneath them often are not.

My work begins with a simple question:

What remains true when the language, circumstances, and field of application change?

That question has led to books, trading methodologies, visual frameworks, educational systems, and an ongoing exploration of how people recognize what has often been present all along.

What Remains When Everything Else Changes

Some things change constantly.

Circumstances change. Language changes. Beliefs change. Markets change. We change.

But beneath that movement, certain relationships and patterns appear to remain remarkably consistent.

What Remains When Everything Else Changes is a cross-disciplinary exploration of how people come to recognize what is already present. Through stories, visual frameworks, and recurring patterns, it examines recognition as a precondition for understanding, creativity, and meaningful innovation.

The most important discoveries are often recognitions rather than inventions.

Patterns That Survived Translation

A useful pattern should not depend entirely upon the vocabulary used to describe it.

It should remain visible when carried from one field into another.

A relationship observed in markets may also appear in learning. A structure found in navigation may illuminate decision-making. A principle encountered in human development may reveal something about organizations, creativity, or leadership.

This does not mean that everything is the same.

It means that nature may reuse certain relationships more often than our categories allow us to notice.

Much of my work is an attempt to identify those relationships—and make them easier to see.

Experience Across Disciplines

My path has not followed a single professional category.

I have spent more than forty years studying and participating in financial markets, including work as a trader, trading educator, futures broker, commodity trading advisor, registered investment advisor, and developer of market technologies.

I have founded and operated businesses, taught thousands of traders, managed hundreds of client accounts, developed patented market tools, and spent more than a decade teaching from live markets each day.

My background also includes navigation in the United States Navy, meteorological study through NOAA, extensive contemplative practice, writing, woodworking, and a long-running interest in how human beings perceive, learn, decide, and recognize.

The value of those experiences is not that they form an impressive list.

It is that each provided a different environment in which to test what remains consistent.

Axiom Research

Axiom Research Press brings together my books, essays, research, and cross-disciplinary work.

It was created for ideas that do not fit neatly inside the usual categories—and perhaps reveal more because they do not.

Books. Ideas. Research. Human Potential.

The Most Interesting Questions Rarely Stay Inside One Category

My work is written for readers, founders, executives, investors, creators, traders, and thoughtful people who sense that the most consequential structure in a situation may not yet have been recognized.

Sometimes the next step is not the addition of more information.

It is seeing what the existing information has been pointing toward all along.
